WildBrain CPLG Named Peanuts’ Exclusive Licensing Agent in AsiaPac

Peanuts Worldwide has appointed WildBrain CPLG as the exclusive licensing agent for the Peanuts brand in the Asia-Pacific region.

The deal builds on WildBrain CPLG’s long-standing Peanuts licensing relationship across EMEA and India. WildBrain CPLG’s Peanuts remit for AsiaPac extends across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

In addition to AsiaPac, WildBrain CPLG represents the Peanuts brand across the U.K.; France; Spain; Italy; Central and Eastern Europe; the Middle East and North Africa; Germany, Austria and Switzerland; Benelux; Greece; Turkey; the Nordics; and India. The brand has extensive cross-category programs for apparel and accessories, promotions, fast-moving consumer goods, toys and games, gifting, homewares, stationery, pet accessories and more.

WildBrain CPLG recently launched dedicated offices in Seoul, Taipei and Singapore and expanded the existing Shanghai team.

In WildBrain CPLG personnel news, Ben Peace has been appointed VP for AsiaPac to spearhead strategy and growth in the region (excluding Greater China). Joining the company from Hasbro, he will be based out of WildBrain’s Singapore offices. WildBrain China’s existing licensing team in Shanghai will be expanded and renamed WildBrain CPLG China, reporting to Jianbo Wei, managing director in China, working closely with Maarten Weck, executive VP and managing director at WildBrain CPLG, and Peace. Wei will also continue to oversee WildBrain’s content business in China.
