Three new animated series are in the works at TFOU, a children’s programming block on TF1 in France.

The new kids’ shows include Gus with Technicolor Animation Productions; Imago with La Chouette Compagnie and Studio Reaz; and the tentatively titled Mille Bornes, based on the board game and adapted by Blue Spirit Productions’ JustKids.

Inspired by Dankerleroux and Françoise de Guibert’s Editions Gulf Stream characters, Gus tells the tale of a small boy who wants to be the greatest knight in all the kingdom of Karamel. Though he’s short of stature, Gus proves his mettle on various adventures throughout the kingdom while wielding his laser sword atop his electric pony.

Imago, another adventure series, follows Zayn and his friends, Shazemine, Zora and Bo, who all have their own imagos—“simple creatures born where arcane magic fields enter the imaginations of children with heightened sensitivity to that magic,” according to TF1. In their quest for the “21 Ultimagos,” the team must vanquish the kingdom of Ramal’s greatest enemy, the Queen of the Shadows.

Lastly, Mille Bornes is a comedy-action series centered on the Mille Bornes World Championship road race that all the animals on the planet hope to one day win. Among the teams in the race is one led by a small farmyard rabbit named Fleur called the Pop-Corns, an underdog squad that competes against similarly determined foes on a challenging circuit.
