Video Interview: Temi’s World’s Nathan Wilkes & Toni Matthews

A brand-new series has entered the preschool space, with Temi’s World launching its own website and channel on YouTube. Created by Nathan Wilkes and early-years specialist Toni Matthews, the IP intends to help young viewers build confidence, communication skills and a love for learning.

The animated series follows a Jamaican-British 5-year-old whose adventures provide entertainment and lessons that cover everything from counting and language to emotional learning and social development. And the learning is supported off-camera as well, with the Temi’s World website featuring various ancillary materials and activities.

In this video interview, Wilkes and Matthews sit down with TV Kids Weekly to discuss the origin of the new IP, the value of offering longer- and shorter-form content and the ancillary materials available to engage children off-screen as well.
