Duolingo has tapped veteran children’s television executive Linda Simensky, who joins from PBS KIDS, as head of animation and scripted content.

PBS KIDS' Linda Simensky, Rai's Luca Milano, BBC's Sarah Muller and DR's Niels Lindberg discussed the crucial role of public-service media for kids, diversity initiatives and the need to cooperate as they face off against the global streamers as the TV Kids Summer Festival opened today.

The TV Kids Summer Festival will include a panel on the vital role of children’s programming on public broadcasters, featuring Rai’s Luca Milano, BBC’s Sarah Muller, PBS’s Linda Simensky and DR’s Niels Lindberg. 

Linda Simensky has been promoted to the post of head of content for PBS KIDS, continuing to report to Lesli Rotenberg, PBS' chief programming executive and general manager for children’s media and education.
