CAKE has inked a deal with BBC Studios that will see Nikhil & Jay air on CBeebies later this year in Poland, South Africa, Asia and India.

BBC Studios has launched an interactive Yakka Dee! spin-off, Yakka Dee!, What Can You See?, on the series’ dedicated YouTube channel.

Industry consultants Rachel Bardill (Bar Digital) and Liz Keynes have come on board the preschool hit Yakka Dee! to aid in the IP’s growth.

CBeebies has cast British-Tamil actor Charithra Chandran (Bridgerton, Alex Rider) as one of the leads for its upcoming animated series Nikhil & Jay, from CAKE, King Banana TV and Paper Owl Films.
