SVT Picks Up Saïd & Anna

Swedish public broadcaster SVT has picked up the live-action Dutch preschool series Saïd & Anna for broadcast.

The 16-part show, which premiered at MIPJunior last month, follows 6-year-old Saïd and 7-year-old Anna, who hang out every day in Saïd’s parents’ repair shop. While broken things brought to the shop are fixed by using the right tools, the best friends discover how to find creative solutions to their own challenges.

Saïd & Anna is a co-production between the Netherlands’ EO/NPO Zappelin, Germany’s SWR/Kika, and Belgium’s VRT/Ketnet. Incredible Film is distributing the series internationally.

The Incredible Film catalog also includes an on-screen adaptation of Miss Vomit and The Magical Ring and two films from the Tummy Tom collection, Tummy Tom and The Lost Teddy Bear and A New Friend for Tummy Tom.

“We are delighted to announce this partnership with SVT for Saïd & Anna,” said Daniëlle Raaphorst, CEO of Incredible Film. “SVT have an outstanding reputation and are the perfect home for the series. The response to this story so far has been incredible, and we’re thrilled to see so much interest in this series and its themes. We really look forward to sharing Saïd & Anna and its important messages of diversity, kindness and acceptance with more global buyers at ATF next week.”
