Top Programmers to Take Part in TV Kids Festival

Disney Branded Television’s Rick Clodfelter, Warner Bros. Discovery’s Zia Sands, BBC Children’s Anna Taganov and SVT’s Helena Nylander will discuss programming strategies for their various channels and platforms during the TV Kids Festival, taking place from January 30 to February 2. You can register here for free.

Clodfelter is executive director of content acquisitions and partnerships at Disney Branded Television, with a focus on acquiring series, movies and short-form content—scripted and unscripted, live-action and animation—developed and produced by third-party providers for Disney+, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior. Sands is lead for acquisitions, partnerships and co-productions at Warner Bros Discovery Kids & Family EMEA, working across Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Boing, Cartoonito and HBO Max Kids & Family. Taganov is head of content and programming strategy for BBC Children’s, responsible for managing content and programming strategies for video output across CBeebies, CBBC and BBC iPlayer. Nylander has been working as an acquisition executive for children’s content within the SVT International team for 15 years. Together, the executives will discuss commissioning, acquisitions and programming strategies, as well as current content wish lists.

These executives join other previously announced speakers: Sky’s Lucy Murphy, WildBrain’s Josh Scherba, PBS KIDS’ Sara DeWitt and Warner Bros. Animation’s Audrey Diehl. Look out for further announcements about key speakers and sessions in the coming weeks.

Unlike other events requiring hefty registration fees, attendance to the TV Kids Festival is FREE. The previous TV Kids Festival attracted close to 2,000 participants!
