MUNICH: Czech Republic pubcaster Ceska televise has acquired a package of kids’ titles from Studio 100 Media that includes series such as Vic the Viking.

The CGI animated series Vic the Viking already airs in 100 countries. Under the terms of the deal, Ceska televise picked up the free-to-air rights for approximately 200 half-hours of kids’ content. The agreement includes titles from Studio 100 Media’s library such as the hit series Maya the Bee.

Martin Krieger, the head of global distribution at Studio 100 Media, remarked, “We are happy to expand our collaboration with Ceska televize with our well-known animation brands. We believe that they will be just as popular on Czech free TV as they have proved to be in other territories and that children will enjoy the opportunity to follow the wonderful adventures of Vic the Viking, Molly Monster, Big & Small, Maya the Bee and Knietzsche.”
