Studio 100 Film Secures Global Deals for New Heidi Movie

Studio 100 Film has secured a slew of international deals for Heidi—Rescue of the Lynx, prior to the movie’s premiere at Marché du Film.

The new CGI feature, which sees 8-year-old Heidi find and care for an injured lynx kitten, has been sold into France, the Baltics, Poland, Portugal, Italy, the U.K., Ukraine, Turkey, Greece, Israel and many more.

Deals for the film were signed with Apollo Films (France), ACME Film (the Baltics), Kino Świat (Poland), NOS Lusomundo Audiovisuais (Portugal), Adler Entertainment (Italy), Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment (the U.K.), ADS Service (Hungary, Moldova and Romania), Blitz (former Yugoslavia), Bohemia Motion Pictures (Czech Republic and Slovakia), Green Light Films (Ukraine), Beşiktaş Kültür Merkezi (Turkey), Zinos Panagiotidis (Greece), FilmHouse (Israel) and Myndform (Iceland).

Studio 100 Film will continue selling in the remaining territories, such as the U.S., Latin America, Scandinavia, the Indian sub-continent, the Philippines and Mongolia, at Marché du Film.

Heidi–Rescue of the Lynx is inspired by the novels from Johanna Spyri. It is a co-production between Studio 100 International, 3Doubles Producciones and Hotel Hungaria Animation, in association with Studio Isar Animation. Tobias Schwarz (Tarzan II, Anastasia, Maya and the Golden Orb, The Queen’s Corgi) is director, and the script was written by Rob Sprackling (Gnomeo & Juliet, The Queen’s Corgi).

Studio 100 Film will be premiering the film at the Marché du Film on May 15. The film will also be premiering in Germany at the Goldener Spatz Festival, which takes place from June 1 to 7. In Germany, the movie is distributed by LEONINE and is set to have its theatrical release on June 26.
