Studio 100 Film has taken the international sales rights for the new animated title Miss Moxy.

The 85-minute family film follows Miss Moxy, a domesticated cat who gets lost during a summer holiday in Southern France. She sets off on an odyssey to find her way back home across Europe, learning life lessons along the way.

The movie is based on a true story. Miss Moxy is adapted and written for the screen by Maureen Versprille and directed by Vincent Bal (The Zigzag Kid) and Wip Vernooij.

Production for Miss Moxy began in February 2023, with delivery scheduled for the end of 2024.

The title is a Dutch-Belgian co-production between Phanta Animation, BosBros and Eyeworks Film & TV Drama. Studio 100 Film, a subsidiary of Studio 100 Media, acts as international sales agent and will present the movie at the upcoming American Film Market in Santa Monica.

Petra Goedings, producer, said, “From the moment Miss Moxy came to shape, this lovely character has become a true darling to all of us, and we cannot wait to make this film happen in collaboration with our dear colleagues at Studio 100.”

Thorsten Wegener, director of business operations at Studio 100 Media, adds, “The true story behind this movie is so incredible, and the production team so talented that we immediately fell in love with this project. It’s such a great feeling to finally see the start of production, and we look forward to introducing this fun and entertaining family movie with a unique animal heroine.”
