Star Trek: Prodigy Set for MIPCOM Premiere

The new animated kids’ series Star Trek: Prodigy is set to have an International Premiere Screening on October 12 during MIPCOM.

Developed by Kevin and Dan Hageman (Trollhunters, Ninjago), Star Trek: Prodigy is the first Star Trek series aimed at younger audiences. It follows a crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating the galaxy in search of a better future.

Star Trek: Prodigy is from CBS’s Eye Animation Productions, CBS Studios’ new animation arm; Nickelodeon Animation Studio, led by Ramsey Naito, president of animation; Secret Hideout; and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Katie Krentz, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers alongside co-showrunners Kevin and Dan Hageman. Ben Hibon is director, co-executive producer and creative lead. ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group is the distributor.

The International Premiere will take place from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on October 12 in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais.

Star Trek: Prodigy will debut on Paramount+ in the U.S. on October 28 and will be available later to stream in international territories such as Latin America, the Nordics and Australia.
