GLENDALE: Noddy Toyland Detective, DreamWorks Animation’s first original preschool program, is slated to make its U.S. debut on NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment’s Sprout this fall.

Noddy Toyland Detective follows the adventures of a young boy and his friends as they solve mysteries in the magical world of Toyland. The CG-animated show is co-produced by DreamWorks Animation and Gaumont. It is based on the classic children’s character created by author Enid Blyton in 1949.

“We couldn’t be happier that Sprout will be bringing DreamWorks’s Noddy Toyland Detective to U.S. audiences this fall,” said Eric Ellenbogen, co-head of international TV for DreamWorks Animation. “Sprout is a premier destination for preschool programming, making it the ideal U.S. home for this exciting new series. The world of Noddy and Toyland, with its great literary legacy, offers so much to the imagination of kids.”

“Sprout couldn’t be prouder to be the exclusive U.S. home for Noddy Toyland Detective,” added Amy Friedman, the senior VP of programming and development at Sprout. “DreamWorks has delivered not only a fresh, modern world, but also a role model for our viewers. Noddy himself is curious, resilient and kind—three values we care deeply about at Sprout.”
