Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants property is growing with the addition of 52 new episodes across its three series.

The broadcaster has greenlit 13 more episodes for season 13 of SpongeBob SquarePants, its longest-running animated series. It is ViacomCBS Networks International’s most widely distributed property and currently reigns as one of Paramount+’s most-watched titles.

The voice cast of SpongeBob SquarePants includes Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, Carolyn Lawrence and Mr. Lawrence.

Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years was the first spin-off of the original series. It follows a young SpongeBob SquarePants and his friends as they spend their summer at Kamp Koral. Paramount+ has greenlit 13 additional episodes for its first season and renewed it for a second season, which will also consist of 13 episodes. Since its March 4 launch, it has been one of Paramount+’s most popular original titles for children. The show’s voice cast includes the original cast, as well as new voices such as Carlos Alazraqui and Kate Higgins.

The Patrick Star Show, the second spin-off of the original series that premiered in July, follows a younger Patrick Star as he lives with his family and hosts his own variety show. Nickelodeon has greenlit 13 additional episodes for its first season. The voice cast includes all of the original cast members, along with Tom Wilson, Cree Summer, Jill Talley and Dana Snyder.

Ramsey Naito, president of Nickelodeon Animation, said: “SpongeBob is the centerpiece of our franchise strategy to expand the worlds of our characters and grow our global reach even further. It’s a property that wins on every platform because the richness of the characters and the comedy intrinsic to the storytelling continue to appeal to so many fans around the world.”

All three series were developed for television by Claudia Spinelli, senior VP of animation development at Nickelodeon, with production overseen by Kelley Gardner, VP of current series for animation. Marc Ceccarelli, Vincent Waller and Jennie Monica are co-executive producers for all three.
