Shape Island, a new stop-motion series based on the trilogy of Shapes picture books from Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen, is slated to premiere on Apple TV+ on January 20.

The series follows the adventures of serious Square, intrepid Circle and tricky Triangle as they look for fun and build their friendship while navigating each other’s differences. Its voice cast includes Yvette Nicole Brown (Disenchanted) and Harvey Guillen (What We Do in the Shadows), among others.

Additional voices in the series are those of Scott Adsit (30 Rock) and Gideon Adlon (Blockers).

Shape Island was co-created by authors Barnett and Klassen, who also serve as executive producers alongside Emmy Award-winning Bix Pix Entertainment’s Kelli Bixler and Drew Hodges (Tumble Leaf). Ryan Pequin serves as co-executive producer and head writer.

Shape Island expands Apple TV+’s kids and family slate, which also includes Helpsters. The third season debuted January 6 with a long list of guest stars such as Andrea Martin (Evil), John Oliver (Last Week Tonight with John Oliver) and more.
