Season Two for Wissper on Milkshake!

HÖHENKIRCHEN/MUNICH: Channel 5 has commissioned a sophomore season of the animated comedy series Wissper for its preschool block Milkshake!, bringing the show’s total episode count to 104.

The 52×7-minute second season is slated to premiere at the end of 2018 or beginning of 2019. It will be produced by m4e and Cuckoo (formerly Absolutely Cuckoo). The series follows a little girl named Wissper who has the ability to communicate with animals. She uses her special talent to understand them and help solve their problems.

Season one debuted in the U.K. in October 2015 and has since become one of the most popular preschool programs on Milkshake! Wissper was created by London‐based animation studio Cuckoo (Waybuloo) in co-production with m4e, Telegael, Discreet Art Productions and BASTEI Media, a subsidiary of publisher Bastei Lübbe. m4e manages worldwide distribution for Wissper.

“Dan [Good, creator of the series], his team at Cuckoo and m4e have created a beautiful show which is proving popular with our audience,” said Sarah Muller, head of children’s at Channel 5. “Wissper has a lot of promise and we are keen to see how we can grow and develop the property across a second [season].”
