NEW YORK: Nickelodeon has unveiled the details for two new sports-themed series from production partners Rob Dyrdek and Shane Nickerson of Superjacket Productions, among a slew of other new and returning programming for this year.

The new live-action series from Superjacket Productions are Crashletes and Jagger Eaton’s Mega Life (working title). The former is a viral sports clip show that will be hosted by the New England Patriots’s Rob Gronkowski, while the latter is a docuseries spotlighting the titular 15-year-old skateboarding sensation. Both productions will each consist of 20 episodes. They are due to debut later this year.

“Nick has a long history in kid reality beginning with game shows like Double Dare and Legends of the Hidden Temple,” said Cyma Zarghami, the president of Viacom Kids and Family Group. “Crashletes and Jagger Eaton allow us to connect the audience via real and authentic people and a different kind of storytelling that is fresh and exciting.”

“Partnering with Nickelodeon allows me to share my passion for sports and pop culture with kids and families in creative and innovative ways,” noted Dyrdek. “With Gronk’s fun, big personality and Jagger’s relatable, youthful insight, Crashletes and Mega Life will resonate with sports fans and kids alike.”

Nickelodeon has also revealed its plans for more than 650 episodes of new and returning series.
