Pink Parrot Media (PPM) has established a dedicated international television distribution division and appointed Begoña Esteban to the newly formed role of head of international TV sales and acquisitions.

Esteban will lead PPM’s day-to-day operations and new initiatives in the acquisition, presales and sales for all of the company’s kids’ animated and live-action content for television, including digital platforms. She will be based in Madrid.

Esteban will report directly to Tania Pinto Da Cunha, partner/VP and head of international sales and acquisitions (film) at PPM. In her new role, she will begin initial sales for Butterfly Academy and Joy Eternal while attending Cartoon Forum and this year’s MIPCOM and MIPJunior markets.

Prior to PPM, Esteban spent 14 years at IMIRA Entertainment, where she served as the audiovisual sales content manager and was directly responsible for the sales of the company’s kids’ content for Latin America, Spanish-speaking U.S., Spain, Portugal and Eastern Europe territories.

Pinto Da Cunha said: “Begoña comes with a wealth of experience maintaining a huge roster of key broadcast partnerships, which will be an asset to us as we move into the acquisition and distribution of kids’ content for television. We are thrilled to have her lead our sales efforts and bring our growing roster of original kids’ and family content to an expanded global audience.”

Esteban said: “I am extremely happy and excited to join this great team. PPM maintains a wonderful catalog of exceptional quality content, and I am sure that these titles—whether for TV, theatrical or streaming—will receive a great reception in the international market. We have a very diversified catalog to reach all targets, with family content to reach from the smallest to the young adults of the house.”
