TORONTO: Picture Box Distribution has picked up worldwide licensing rights to the stop-motion, live-action series Scout & the Gumboot Kids from Two Story Productions.

Created for Kids’ CBC and endorsed by the David Suzuki Foundation and the UCLA Global Media Center for Social Impact, the ten-episode series targets children aged 4 to 6. It follows Scout the Mouse, who leads the Gumboot Kids through a range of clues in order to solve nature’s mysteries. The show features music by Juno Award-winning artist Jessie Farrell.

“We are thrilled to be representing Scout & the Gumboot Kids,” said Marilyn Kynaston, partner and director of sales at Picture Box Distribution. “We love the focus on mindfulness and an appreciation of the natural environment. Kids need to have a connection to nature more now than ever!”
