Peacock has greenlit new CGI/live-action preschool series, including the make-and-do program The Makery.

As the first series from Peacock’s partnership with Sky Kids, The Makery educates through play and inspires children to explore their imagination and creativity. Each themed episode sees the host take viewers on an adventure to make, bake and create.

The series was co-commissioned for Peacock and Sky Kids with Terrific Television. Richard Hunt serves as series producer for Terrific Television alongside Nic Ayling and Driana Jones as executive producers. Ian France serves as executive producer for Sky Kids.

The second new preschool series is Bapple Bop!, a musical dance jamboree short-form series that features original and nursery rhyme songs. Bapple Bop! intends to help social and emotional learning through its young characters, who love nothing more than to help out. It is set to premiere in December on Peacock.

Bapple Bop! was produced at Dark Slope Studios’ 8,000 sq. foot motion-tracking stage facility. Written by Katherine Standford, the series was directed by Luke Jurevicius and Tim D.P. Thompson. Dan Fill and Raja Khanna serve as executive producers, with Christine Thompson as producer.

These new series add to Peacock’s growing kids’ catalog, which includes the upcoming comedy Take Note. Produced by Lambur Productions, Take Note follows a group of contestants from across the country as they compete in a fictional reality singing competition. It will introduce a new generation to pop, R & B, country and rock classics, along with originals from emerging musicians written for the series.

Creator Joan Lambur serves as executive producer, along with co-showrunners Earl Davis (Wu-Tang: An American Saga; Teenage Bounty Hunters; Sherri) and Michael Feldman (Nicky, Ricky, Dickey & Dawn; Sonny with a Chance; That’s So Raven).

Other Peacock original kids’ content includes Create the Escape, Backyard Blowout, DreamWorks’ Dragons Rescue Riders: Heroes of the Sky, Archibald’s Next Big Thing is Here! and Where’s Waldo?
