Pair of Yu-Gi-Oh! Series Land in LatAm

NEW YORK: 4K Media has inked a new broadcast deal for the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime franchise in Latin America with Nicaragua’s Telenica Canal 8.

Telenica Canal 8 picked up the first five seasons of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters and the first three seasons of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. The channel is due to debut the anime series in Spanish on free TV next year.

Kristen Gray, 4K Media’s senior VP of operations, business and legal affairs, said: “We are thrilled to expand the Yu-Gi-Oh! television franchise in the Latin American region with our new partner, Telenica Canal 8. Yu-Gi-Oh! is successful in any language and we are confident our series will provide continuous entertainment to all the anime fans in Nicaragua.”
