ORF-Enterprise has signed a deal with British Columbia’s Knowledge Network for Rookie Robot Explores the World, which is now airing on the linear broadcaster and streaming on its Knowledge Kids website.

From SINE LEGE FILM in cooperation with LEISS Postproduction, the non-dialogue animated series sees a little robot travel the world and meet new friends, discover new things and experience adventures.

The animation is by Nadia Zimov, based on drawings by Mira & Ella.

The deal with Knowledge Network comes one year after Korean broadcasters Daekyo Kids TV and Daekyo Baby TV picked up the series.

“We’re delighted to have these charming and funny non-dialogue shorts in our Knowledge Kids linear and on-demand offering,” said Michele Paris, senior manager of children’s programming at Knowledge Network. “Rookie Robot is a fun and optimistic character whose curiosity can inspire kids to go out and explore their own world.”

Rookie Robot Explores the World is currently featured at Kikeriki—A Children’s Short Film Festival in Tulin, Austria, which runs until June 2. It will also be presented at the Annecy Festival and MIFA from June 13 to June 18.
