Nickelodeon is set to premiere a brand-new episode of Nick News on April 27, spotlighting stories of resilient kids around the world, including the children of Ukraine.

Hosted by CBS News Correspondent Vladimir Duthiers, the episode will begin in a shelter in Lviv. CBS News’ Imtiaz Tyab will meet with Ukrainian children whose families have been forced to relocate to flee the war raging in other cities across the country.

Later in the episode, Gabrielle Nevaeh, star of That Girl Lay Lay and All That, will head to NYC to report on Girl Scout Troop 6000, a specially created Girl Scouts program designed to serve girls in the New York City shelter system. In addition, Nick News Correspondent Rory Hu will travel to Georgia to introduce viewers to 7-year-old Farmer Kendall, the youngest USDA-certified farmer in the state.

Following the new episode’s premiere on Nickelodeon, it will be available on the Nick website, Nick app and Nick On Demand on April 28.

“These are unprecedented times, and many kids around the world are living through unfathomable circumstances and yet rising above it all,” said Magalie Laguerre-Wilkinson, VP of news programming at Nickelodeon and executive producer of Nick News. “It’s a privilege to be able to have a platform like Nick News, which serves as a vehicle to allow these inspirational kids to share their exceptional stories as well as their hopes for a better tomorrow. They make us all want to do better and be better.”
