Nickelodeon, Paramount+ Slate Snow Day

The new movie musical Snow Day is set to debut in the U.S. and Canada on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ on December 16 and in the U.K. and Australia on Paramount+ the following day.

Based on the 2000 comedy film of the same name, the reimagining follows a group of kids who are determined to achieve their dreams when their school closes for a snow day.

The new musical stars Ky Baldwin (Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door), Michaela Russell (WandaVision), Shelby Simmons (Bunk’d), Fabi Aguirre (Broadway’s Les Misérables) and Jerry Trainor (iCarly). Additional cast members are Laura Bell Bundy (The Fairly Oddparents: Fairly Odder), Rob Huebel (Children’s Hospital), Logan Aultman (Homeschooled), Dominic Mariche (Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Curse of the Shadows), Myles Erlick (West Side Story), Monique Jasmine Paul (The Kings of Napa), Destiny Rettinger (The Boys), Lilly Bartlam (Detention Adventure) and Viggo Hanvelt (Single All the Way).

The film is directed by Emmy Award winner Michael Lembeck (The J Team, Queen Bees, The Santa Clause 2 and 3, Tooth Fairy, Friends). It was written by Will McRobb & Chris Viscardi and Samantha Martin (The Fairly Oddparents: Fairly Odder, Danger Force, Henry Danger The Musical), who also wrote the teleplay and contributed original music for the movie. It is produced by Nickelodeon Studios.
