The movie will follow middle school student A.J. as he finds himself joining forces with faculty and friends to save the world from an alien invasion. When it is ready to debut, the film will stream day-and-date on Paramount+ and air on Nickelodeon channels around the world.

The My Weird School adaptation will star Hero Hunter, Harper Zilmer, Aaron Harris, Nakai Takawira, Sean “SeanDoesMagic” Sotaridona, Liv Pearsall and Adam Rose.

Jonathan Judge (The Really Loud House) is directing the adaptation. Production of the movie is being overseen by Shauna Phelan, executive VP of live-action series and films at Nickelodeon and Awesomeness, as well as executives Brin Lukens and Brittany Cope.

“We are so excited to bring this beloved book series to life with a dream cast of actors and influencers we know our audience will love and a creative team led by Jonathan Judge, who will elevate the movie in a hilarious way for Nickelodeon’s kids’ and family audience,” Phelan said.
