Nick Jr. Latin America is set to premiere Suena Familiar, its new short-form comedic sketch series for parents of preschoolers produced by ViacomCBS Digital Studios International Americas (VDSI Americas).

Hosted by three sets of families—the Gómez family, the Torres family and the Campos family—Suena Familiar aims to tackle parenting tribulations by sharing stories and advice from the frontlines through a series of comedic shorts, tips and how-to videos. The series will premiere on August 7 on Nick Jr. and the network’s social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram.

Suena Familiar will feature recurring segments such as “Nightmare Stories,” a humorous take on parents’ worst child-rearing nightmares; “Homemade,” a fun segment of DIY ideas for parents to do with their kids; and “Survival Guide,” where the hosts of Suena Familiar re-enact their own comedic stories of parental struggles and share their survival tips.

Tatiana Rodríguez, senior VP and brand head for Nickelodeon Latin America, said: “Suena Familiar showcases the ups and downs of parenting in a humorous and entertaining way. The show is certain to connect with moms and dads in the region who are in the midst of raising kids.”

Juan Ignacio Sixto, head of VDSI Americas, said: “We’ve had a great time producing Suena Familiar. When casting for the show, we selected diverse families—all unique in their own way – that parents could relate to. Our hope is that Nick Jr. parents will find the show funny and refreshing but at the same time relatable.”
