The new animated preschool program Sunny Day, developed and produced by Silvergate Media (Peter Rabbit), is slated to begin airing on Nickelodeon later this month.

Sunny Day follows the adventures of a 10-year-old hair stylist named Sunny (Lilla Crawford) as she solves problems in her seaside town of Friendly Falls. The 40-episode show encourages individuality, self-expression, leadership, innovative thinking and teamwork. It is scheduled to premiere on Monday, August 21, at 10 a.m.

In addition to Crawford, the voice cast includes Elan Luz Rivera, Taylor Louderman and Rob Morrison. Ashley Parker Angel (O-Town), Lance Bass (NSYNC), Kether Donohue (Grease Live), Sutton Foster (Younger), Renee Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton), Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos) and Shanice Williams (The Wiz Live!) serve as guest stars in the first season.

Leading up to the linear debut of Sunny Day, all-new full-length episodes and short-form content will be available on NickJr.com and the Nick Jr. app. There is also a makeover game called Smiling and Styling with Sunny! that launches today on the Nick Jr. website and app.
