New Exec Appointments at Saban Brands

LOS ANGELES: Saban Brands has hired five new executives for its retail, consumer products, marketing, creative and legal departments.

Tori Cook joins Saban Brands as senior VP of global retail business development, while Marcy George becomes VP of global consumer products. Jennifer Wexler was named senior VP of marketing. Stan Wan has been appointed as creative director of Saban Brands Lifestyle Group (SBLG), and Scott Rosenbaum has become senior VP of business and legal affairs.

In her new role, Cook will lead Saban Brands' expanding global retail team, focusing on developing relationships and programs with retailers around the world. She will spearhead retail efforts across all product categories for the company's full slate of entertainment and lifestyle properties. She most recently served as VP of retail business development at Sanrio.

George will develop and execute a unified global licensing strategy across the company's entertainment brands while collaborating with Dan Castle to support the lifestyle portfolio. She will oversee the licensing sales, product development and consumer products creative teams. Previously, George founded and was CEO of David & Goliath Licensing.

For the past six months, Wexler consulted for SBLG. She now moves into a full-time position in New York, where she will manage the global marketing strategies and brand campaigns for the company's full portfolio of entertainment and lifestyle brands. Earlier in her career, she worked for Iconix Brand Group and Haute Hippie, among other companies.

Wan will supervise the company's lifestyle business on all aspects of the brands' visual communication, including brand ethos and product authenticity. He previously served as a consultant for SBLG in Sydney and has now been brought on full time. His past experience includes serving as director and co-owner of North Hill.

Rosenbaum is responsible for all of Saban Brands' legal affairs, including the management and oversight of the company's legal department across all areas. He has more than 15 years of experience working for Mattel, where he led the company's business and legal affairs in North America, as well as global consumer product licensing programs, among other duties.
