Omens Studios has secured new international deals for Leo the Wildlife Ranger and expanded the property’s gaming app.

AMC Networks International acquired season one of the animated adventure series for the Middle East and Africa, and season two will become available across Europe. Common Sense Media renewed its existing deal for season one, and Fairfax County Schools District in the U.S. picked up season two.

Also, TRT bought seasons one and two to air in Turkey.

Omens Studios has also unveiled plans to expand the Leo the Wildlife Ranger gaming app with an additional three modules. Available worldwide, the app features a range of exclusive child-friendly mini-games, including memory games, mazes, coloring, puzzles and more. The new game module “Balance the Bridge” aims to teach children about the basic principles of physics, while the upcoming “Storybook” module will provide an interactive experience that allows players to make choices in the stories. In “Animal Clinic,” kids can play as veterinarians and treat wounds, cure infections and clean dirt off of animals.

A Spanish version of the app will be available in Q4 2023 and will include Spanish episodes of the series and monthly updates and additions to the catalog.

Leo the Wildlife Ranger was originally commissioned by Singapore’s Mediacorp and is aimed at 3- to 7-year-olds. It provides them with zoology facts, teaches environmental awareness and nature conservation and helps build social skills. A brand-new 80×10-minute commission is scheduled for the first half of 2024.

Leo the Wildlife Ranger has become a much-loved property with audiences all over the world, who are connecting with the characters in a range of different ways—including through broadcasting, the games app and our exclusive kid-friendly VR content on YouTube,” said Chi Sim Tang, CEO of Omens Studios. “We are continuing to expand the offering for our fans, and we’re delighted to welcome new premium broadcast partners on board, including AMC Networks International, to bring the action-packed adventures of our wildlife rangers to new audiences.”
