Netflix Names New Director of Preschool Animation

Children’s media consultant Kevin Clark has been hired by Netflix as its new director of original animation for preschool.

Clark has been involved with George Mason University for 20 years, serving as an associate professor and director of the center for digital media innovation and diversity. He has worked as a children’s media consultant on issues of diversity, content development and strategy with organizations such as Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, YouTube Kids, Facebook, Mattel, Hasbro, Netflix, Amazon Studios, WGBH Kids, PBS Kids and Disney.

Most recently, Clark served as creative producer on Netflix’s live-action Bookmarks: Celebrating Black Voices preschool series. He takes up the post this month.
