Netflix Adds Six Animated Kids’ Shows to Lineup

BEVERLY HILLS: Netflix has bolstered its offering for kids with the addition of six new original animated series to its library, including Super Monsters, the latest collaboration between the streaming service, producer Avi Arad and 41 Entertainment.

Super Monsters is an all-new animated series that chronicles the adventures of six preschoolers with superpowers. The first season premieres late next year. In addition to Super Monsters, joining the Netflix lineup are LEGO Elves, The Hollow, Kibaoh Klashers, Robozuna and Treehouse Detectives.

LEGO Elves, intended for older kids, follows a group of humans who team up with elves to protect their worlds from a wicked goblin king. The series, which comes from The LEGO Group, will launch on Netflix worldwide in 2017. Also for the older set, The Hollow (Slap Happy Cartoons) takes viewers along as a gang of strangers-turned-friends navigates a mysterious world and tries to find their way home again. The series debuts exclusively on Netflix in 2018. In 2017, Netflix will launch Saban Brands’ Kibaoh Klashers, which centers on a heroic car-racing beetle. Meanwhile, kids’ can watch a teenage boy and his homemade robot battle to take down an evil empire in Robozuna (ITV Studios), premiering on Netflix in early 2018 and in the U.K. following its debut on CiTV.

For the younger set, Netflix is offering Treehouse Detectives (Saban Brands, Sunwoo Animation). The CG-animated series follows two curious bears and their adventures and is slated to premiere on Netflix around the world in 2018 and in South Korea at a later time.
