Paris-based La Cabane has signed an agreement with Copyrights Group, owned by Vivendi, for the brand development and licensing and merchandising representation of the animated IP Mush-Mush & the Mushables.

As the appointed exclusive brand licensing agent, London-based Copyrights Group—brand owner and global licensing agent for Paddington, amongst other IPs—will be responsible for the brand strategy rollout and the licensing program development for the series worldwide, excluding Greater China. The series will be launched at BLE next month.

The series is directed by Joeri Christiaen (My Knight and Me) and produced by La Cabane and Thuristar, in co-production with CAKE, who is distributing the show worldwide. Created by Elfriede de Rooster, the Mush-Mush & the Mushables property is a CG comedy-adventure series set to premiere across 150 territories in 2020.

The series will air internationally on Boomerang (in addition to Turner Kids channels Cartoon Network, Boing and Pogo in select markets), in France on Canal+ Family and Piwi+, in Belgium on VRT-Ketnet and RTBF, in Switzerland on RTS and in the Netherlands on RTL Telekids.

Perrine Gauthier, founder and producer at La Cabane and Thuristar, said: “We are very excited to launch this property and unique world to the licensing and merchandising arena and to join forces with Copyrights Group in developing a quality and long-lasting brand with the expertise of Sophie and her team.”

Sophie Kopaczynski, CEO of Copyrights Group, added: “We are thrilled to partner with La Cabane and Thuristar on Mush-Mush & the Mushables to build a 360-degree brand strategy. It is exciting to work on such a property being full of genuine heart, fun and entertainment. And we truly believe that children around the world are just going to love it as much as we do.”
