Cheeky Little Media is in production on the fourth and fifth seasons of Vegesaurs.

The preschool show launched on the ABC in Australia, where it’s known as Ginger & the Vegesaurs, in 2022. The success of the show in the U.K. has led BBC to come on board as a co-commissioning partner for seasons four and five.

Studio 100 has participated in the production finance and remains the global distributor and licensing agent outside Australia, with Cheeky Little Commercial managing the brand for ANZ.

ABC’s acting head of children and family, Mary-Ellen Mullane, said: “We can’t wait to see more Ginger & the Vegesaurs on ABC Kids. This beautifully crafted series is already much loved by Australian children everywhere. Here’s to more gorgeous Vegesaur Valley adventures.”

Kate Morton, senior head of commissioning 0-6 for BBC Children’s and Education, said: “CBeebies is a place where little ones can be inspired and entertained, and where parents can trust that content is both enriching and made specifically for young audiences. The return of Vegesaurs for two more series means more of this for families, and of course, it is jam-packed with fun and adventures from Ginger the Tricarrotops and her friends.”

Martin Krieger, CEO of Studio 100 International, said: “Vegesaurs continues to win over young audiences everywhere, and we’re committed to driving its success as we embark on seasons four and five. With strong partners and growing global appeal, the brand is well on its way to becoming the next international preschool hit.”

Cheeky Little’s chief content officer, Patrick Egerton, said: “We’re really proud of how far this show has come and the momentum the brand is building. It’s such a positive, fun and immersive world for younger kids to spend time in, and we’re hugely grateful to all our partners worldwide for their ongoing support.”
