ROME: Mondo TV has unveiled its lineup for MIPTV 2016, including a range of upcoming co-productions and planned or ongoing third-party titles, with Adventures in Duckport and Cuby Zoo among the key offerings.

Based on characters from Suzy’s Zoo, Adventures in Duckport is a 52×11-minute animated series for youngsters from the Mondo TV catalogue. “There will be lots of ethical and social life values in this adorable show,” says Matteo Corradi, the CEO of Mondo TV. Another MIPTV highlight from the company is Cuby Zoo, a preschool program co-produced with Aurora World. “Cuby Zoo is cute and gets into kids’ imaginations and fantasies,” adds Corradi.

Then there is The Treasure Island, a comedy adventure inspired by the literary classic. The series, co-produced by Rai Fiction, will make its world premiere in Italy this year. “These three shows carry valuable messages of current social and family values and the spirit of adventure,” says Corradi. “They also have different styles of animation and [are targeted to different] age groups.”

In addition, Mondo TV is presenting Bug Rangers for kids 4 to 9. The show follows a trio of bug friends and their fun adventures. Cat Leopold, meanwhile, is a 13×13-minute series about a gentlemanly cat and his mischievous mouse friends. The slate also includes the third season of Lulu Vroumette, about a group of animal friends learning about the environment. The environment is also the focus of YooHoo & Friends 3D the New Adventure, which sees a group of friends attempt to save the universe from space trash. There is also Eddie Is a Yeti, in which a little girl becomes friends with an unusual animal, and Nori RollerCoaster Boy, about a young rollercoaster who must defend his city from an evil scheme.

The 26×26-minute show Drakers combines race cars, young drivers and space travel, and Partidei offers up more sci-fi adventures. In Dinofroz Dragons’ Revenge, meanwhile, a mysterious board game opens up a gate between the present and the past to a dimension where a group of kids become dinosaurs.

Mondo TV’s lineup also features Secret Wings Pollen Princesses, about fairies living on Pollen Island, and Sissi the Young Empress, which tells the love story of the young Empress of Austria and Emperor Franz. Playtime Buddies is for very young children and focuses on social interaction and cognitive skills.

Corradi adds: “At MIPTV Mondo TV will promote a group of programs that is exciting and innovative as well as appealing to a wide age range among children. It includes fun, fantasy, humor and adventure and underlines Mondo’s well-earned reputation for high-quality children’s entertainment.”
