Mindy Stockfield Joins Scholastic Trade Publishing

NEW YORK: Mindy Stockfield, who has worked for Disney Channel and Cartoon Network, was hired as senior VP of marketing, creative and multiplatform at Scholastic Trade Publishing.

In her new role, which is effective on December 1, Stockfield will work under Ellie Berger, the president of Scholastic Trade Publishing. She will be responsible for overseeing a team across brand and retail marketing, publicity, digital initiatives and creative services.

Previously, Stockfield served as senior VP of marketing for MTV. Before that, she was VP of marketing and digital media for Disney/ABC Television Group’s adult trade book division, Hyperion. Earlier, Stockfield held marketing and digital positions at Disney Channel and Cartoon Network. She began her career as an account executive at Modem Media.

“Mindy Stockfield is a creative marketer with both publishing and television experience and a strong track record of success in strategic planning, integrated marketing, social media, digital publishing and retail marketing,” said Berger. “Mindy will lead our incredibly talented and experienced marketing, publicity and creative services teams as they continue to create and implement dynamic campaigns across our print, e-book and audio lists. Mindy will also lead our multiplatform initiatives, using new site platforms, mobile and video technologies as we continue to redefine this space.”
