Millimages Scores Deals Across Asia

PARIS: Millimages has secured several deals with broadcasters across the Asian region for a host of titles, including the non-dialogue short Molang.

Following a pan-regional deal for Molang with Disney Asia, EBS in South Korea, TVB in Hong Kong, Thai PBS in Thailand, Okto in Singapore and PTS in Taiwan have also come on board the series. Disney India signed on as well, after picking up Kung Fu Bunny, a series of non-dialogue short films.

In addition, seasons three and four of 64 Zoo Lane were sold to Disney Japan. South Korea’s Daekyo Kids TV also acquired new seasons of 64 Zoo Lane for its Baby TV. Nickelodeon India committed to 64 Zoo Lane and Louie for its new platform VOOT. HBO Asia, meanwhile, went for the new show Paper Port, while Sony India signed a package deal for Me and My Robot, Trust I’m a Genie and Paper Port.

Grace Lee, the group commercial director of Millimages, said, “Asia is a proven market and we are very happy for the great performance of our programs. I am positive that the market will get bigger and bigger with the extension of the digital market.”
