Millimages has sold 400 half-hours of animated series to television channels and VOD platforms in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

For Baraem TV and Jeem TV, Al Jazeera licensed the Emmy-nominated Molang, the new 3D CGI show Pirata & Capitano, and the new seasons of 64 Zoo Lane and Mouk. Etisalat’s SVOD service E-Junior inked a package deal that includes 100 commercial half-hours spanning seven programs.

MBC 3 snapped up two seasons of best seller Corneil and Bernie, the paper-motion comedy Paper Port and the non-verbal 3D CGI series Bugged for linear broadcast. MBC also acquired more than 120 half-hours for its VOD service.

Lise Cosentino, regional sales manager at Millimages, remarked: “MENA is a new El Dorado for the digital market. There is a huge demand for 3D CGI content in this region. Buyers look for high-quality programs to fill in their large kids’ slots.”
