Mediatoon Scores More Presales for Belfort & Lupin

Mediatoon Distribution has signed on four new international partners for Ellipse Animation and Belvision’s Belfort & Lupin, formerly known as Versailles Unleashed.

The animated series, set to be delivered in the first part of 2025, follows the adventures of a dog and wolf duo and their exotic animal friends at a 17th-century royal court. Germany’s SWR, Belgium’s VRT, Switzerland’s RTS and Hungary’s MTVA have now picked up the series.

Belfort & Lupin is created by T.J. Stehley (Calamero, Barbapapa). It reunites director Philippe Vidal (Garfield Show), scriptwriter Florence Marchal (Molang) and art director Justine Cunha (Through Lya’s Eyes).

Broadcasters already on board the series are France’s France Télévisions, Canada’s Radio-Canada and Belgium’s RTBF.
