Media I.M. Inks Deals for Preschool Series

Media I.M. has signed new deals for its legacy preschool IP Sunny Bunnies, as well as Tatty and Misifu.

Various seasons of Sunny Bunnies were picked up by Viaplay for Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland; Animeta for India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka; Sensical in the U.S.; PRO TV in Romania; Nelonen in Finland; and BabyFirst for the U.S. and Latin America.

Viaplay took seasons five through eight. Animeta licensed seasons one through six, as did PRO TV. Sensical opted for seasons one and two, while Nelonen and BabyFirst picked up seasons five and six.

Sunny Bunnies launched in 2015 and is now airing in more than 160 countries. It is supported by an L&M strategy across toys and publishing. Season nine, the most recent, released on YouTube in December 2024 and has generated nearly 12 million views and more than 2 million hours of watch time since launch.

In addition to Sunny Bunnies deals, Media I.M. licensed all five seasons of Tatty and Misifu to Janson Media for Prime Video, as well as HappyKids and Kidoodle.TV. The 2D series, produced by Toy Town Kids, follows the adventures of a little witch and her kitten companion, Misifu.

“At their heart, both Tatty and Misifu and Sunny Bunnies deliver simple, joyful fun,” said Irina Nazarenko, co-founder of Media I.M. “They blend vibrant animation with heartwarming antics that spark the imagination while teaching important life lessons—and, as these sales demonstrate, that’s a formula that never grows old, either with kids or grown-up buyers.”

Media I.M. has these two series on offer at MIPCOM, as well as its latest acquisition, Zola and Friends. Co-produced with Wordsword Creations and Double Dot Studios, the show is set in Tanzania’s Serengeti nature reserve.
