Mattel Debuts VR Barbie Dance Game

Mattel has launched Synth Riders Experience—Barbie Dance ‘n Dream, a Barbie dance experience for the VR rhythm game Synth Riders, in collaboration with Kluge Interactive.

Available on Meta Quest, Steam VR, PlayStation VR2 and Apple Vision Pro, the new addition to Synth Riders allows fans to dance to the K-pop song “Barbie Dreams (ft. Kaliii)” by FIFTY FIFTY, from 2023’s Barbie film, in the dreamscape of Barbie. Players can dance at the roller disco, soak up the sun at the beach and dance throughout the experience.

Barbie Dance ‘n Dream features a mixed reality mode that merges elements from the world of Barbie with the player’s real-life environment. A Barbie box opens to become a portal in the player’s living room.
