Mary Bredin, executive VP of content and strategy at Guru Studio, is leaving the company to focus on IP development and storytelling as a consultant.

Bredin has helped expand Guru’s business into original content, including such series as Justin Time, Dinopaws, True and the Rainbow Kingdom and Big Blue. She remarked: “The journey at Guru has been amazing, but after ten years, I am excited about the next chapter—for both Guru and myself!”

Bredin’s resignation follows Guru’s recent appointments of Kara Lord Piersimoni as VP of production, Daniel Rattner as senior director of marketing and Jonathan Abraham as senior director of sales.

“For over ten years, Mary has been an instrumental part of the growth of the studio,” added Frank Falcone, the president and executive creative director at Guru Studio. “Mary has been a tireless champion of diverse perspectives, of unique voices and most of all, of heartfelt quality creative. We wish her well in her future endeavors as Guru continues onto its next stage of growth.”
