Italy’s Showlab is in development on a new IP, Klincus, which has Marc Seal (PJ Masks, Mike the Knight, Bob the Builder) on board as story editor.

Seal has been a head writer, story editor and writer for the children’s television industry since the late 1990s. He has developed, redeveloped and been lead writer on internationally successful shows such as PJ Masks, Mike the Knight, Bob the Builder, Waybuloo, Get Squiggling and The Hoobs.

The 26×22-minute 3D CGI series is currently in preproduction. Billed as a mix of the steampunk genre, adventure and comedy, directed by Ernesto Paganoni (YOYO), Klincus is based on a book property. Italian broadcaster RAI Ragazzi is already on board.

“I know Marc’s professionalism and talent,” said Alfio Bastiancich, producer of the series.”I’m sure that an ambitious production like Klincus will benefit greatly from his presence.”
