ARLINGTON: Dawn Ciccone, who has more than two decades of licensing and merchandising experience, has been elevated to VP of brand licensing at PBS.

Ciccone will oversee multifaceted brand licensing and e-commerce efforts that support the mission of PBS and its member stations. She will lead PBS KIDS brand licensing, including the expansion of licensees and categories, as well as the development of new retail partnerships. She will also work with series producers to increase the brand footprint of PBS KIDS’ educational media properties.

In addition, Ciccone will establish and expand PBS KIDS’ e-commerce relationships and continue to build on the success of PBS KIDS Shop.

Ciccone first joined PBS in 2004. During her time with the company, she secured the first master toy licensee to develop a PBS KIDS-branded collection of educational toys and accessories and established more than 30 new trademark licensing and partnership collaborations for the brand. Earlier in her career, Ciccone held a number of licensing and marketing leadership roles, including VP of entertainment licensing at Sports Marketing Group, and director of studio relations for Kodak’s entertainment imaging division.

“PBS KIDS is committed to using the power of play to help kids learn, and through Dawn’s innovation and vision over the past several years, we have been able to extend that into tangible experiences for kids through licensing initiatives and consumer products,” said Lesli Rotenberg, the senior VP and general manager of children’s media and education at PBS. “These efforts help kids build key skills, and generate revenue that supports our mission. We are thrilled to have Dawn take on this new role, extending this important work.”
