Jetpack Adds Valt the Wonder Deer to Catalog

LONDON: Jetpack Distribution has inked a global distribution deal with DreamEast Pictures for the 2D animated adventure comedy series Valt the Wonder Deer, which reimagines an ancient Chinese myth.

Valt the Wonder Deer follows a deer and his friends as they go on a journey to obtain the power of the Five Magic Elements and rescue his trapped parents from the Land of Metal overlords. The agreement includes an already completed 52-episode season for distribution in both English and Mandarin through all of Jetpack’s territories, excluding China, where it recently premiered on BTV Kaku Kids Channel and Tencent. The show is due to debut in the U.S. later this year.

“We specifically created Valt the Wonder Deer with an international audience in mind, blending the best of Hollywood and Chinese storytelling to tell a story with universal appeal,” said Yuan “Phabey” Wang, the CEO of DreamEast Pictures USA. “Partnering with Jetpack will bring Valt and its adventurous stories of courage, friendship and love to kids everywhere.”
