International Emmy Kids Awards Nominees Revealed

The nominations for the International Emmy Kids Awards have been unveiled by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, with nominees spanning 11 countries, including a first-time nod for Jordan.

“Children see and learn much of what they know of the world through the stories and characters they watch on television,” said Bruce Paisner, president and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. “We congratulate the nominees for their outstanding talent in entertaining and educating young viewers worldwide on a diversity of topics that impact their everyday life.”

In the animation category, the nominees are Mush-Mush and the Mushables (La Cabane Productions/Thuristar/CAKE, France), Petit (Pájaro/NonStop/Pakapaka/Señal Colombia, Chile), Shaun the Sheep: Adventures from Mossy Bottom (Aardman, U.K.) and Tish Tash (Studio Gale/Big Crunch Entertainment/Korea Educational Broadcasting System, South Korea).

For factual entertainment, the nominees are Ahlan Simsim (Sesame Workshop/Jordan Pioneers, Jordan), My Life: Picture Perfect (Big Deal Films, U.K.), Scars of Life (De Mensen, Belgium) and The Voice Kids (Globo/ITV Studios/John de Mol, Brazil).

The nominees for live action are First Day (Epic Films/Australian Children’s Television Foundation, Australia), Gameboys (The IdeaFirst Company, Philippines), Heirs of the Night (Lemming Film/Hamster Film/Maze Pictures/Maipo Film/NDR/NRK/AVROTROS/Scope Pictures/ZDF Enterprises, Netherlands) and Nivis Amigos de otro mundo/Nivis: Friends from Another World (Buena Vista International/Metrovision/Non Stop Digital, Argentina).

The winners will be announced during an online presentation on Tuesday, October 12, at 9 a.m. on the International Academy’s website.
