Starseeker Series Ready to Go Global

Canada-based Little Engine Moving Pictures is ready to take its new live-action space comedy adventure series Starseeker to the international market.

Starseeker, created by Little Engine co-founder and writer and director Ben Mazzotta, follows an unlikely team of tweens who uncover extraterrestrials’ existence and are recruited to lead interstellar missions by the Interplanetary Space Guard. The 26×22-minute series is targeted toward kids and tweens.

Imira Entertainment, part of the Toonz Media Group, will have its regional sales teams oversee the worldwide distribution of the series outside of North America. Little Engine owner Maria Kennedy, meanwhile, will focus on the Canadian and U.S. markets.

Paul Robinson, Imira CEO and former Disney and NBCUniversal senior executive, said: “Our strategy at Imira is to partner with innovative and dynamic content creators and producers to enable shows that we believe will connect to kids worldwide, to come to life. Little Engine’s Starseeker is exactly that and we are delighted with the partnership.”

Kennedy added: “Imira is a world-class enterprise and we’re thrilled to be teaming up with them on Starseeker. Little Engine has been in the kids’ media space just over five years, and we’ve created and produced outstanding preschool series that are selling worldwide, so we’re ready to imagine new worlds for the 8- to 12-year-old audience that are inspiring, empowering and entertaining.”
