icflix to Debut Original Arabic Kids’ Show Worldwide

DUBAI: Middle Eastern and North African online streaming service icflix has commissioned a new original children’s animated series, Dunia, set to premiere globally on icflix next month.

The series follows the adventures of Dunia, a 12-year-old girl who uses her secret martial arts skills to fight injustice and encourage positive social behavior. Dunia is Arabia’s first female teenage superhero. While the series has been produced in Arabic, Dunia will also be available in English and French. The first season of the series is comprised of ten episodes. icflix is currently in the process of finalizing five additional animated original productions to add to its library of kids’ entertainment.

“The series aims not only to entertain but also to educate children with important social messages,” said Fadi Mehio, co-founder and chairman of icflix. “Dunia will have the potential to become a positive role model for children across the Arab world, sending out strong messages of awareness to children and adults alike.”
