High School Musical Series Debuting Across Three Networks

The first episode of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is slated to bow across ABC, Disney Channel and Freeform on November 8 ahead of its premiere on the Disney+ streaming service, which is launching on November 12.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, created and executive produced by Tim Federle, pays homage to the popular High School Musical franchise with new and familiar songs and settings that both longtime fans and new viewers can enjoy. Over the course of ten episodes, the series follows a group of drama students and faculty members at East High as they hurtle toward opening night of their school musical.

Joshua Bassett, Olivia Rodrigo, Kate Reinders, Sofia Wylie, Matt Cornett, Dara Reneé, Julia Lester, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Larry Saperstein and Mark St. Cyr star in the series, for which Federle wrote the first episode, directed by Tamra Davis. Oliver Goldstick, Tamra Davis and High School Musical executive producers Bill Borden and Barry Rosenbush serve as executive producers of the first episode alongside Federle.
