Hero Inside Debuts in Spain

Hero Inside has debuted on Spain’s free-to-air children’s channel Boing through a deal with DeAPlaneta Entertainment, which represents the title across Europe and Latin America.

From CJ ENM, Million Volt Animation Studios, Tencent Video and YGG Global, the series takes place in a world where saying the name of a superhero will make them appear. Warner Bros. Discovery holds the global broadcasting rights.

The phenomenon of Hero Inside in which a superhero can appear when their name is said begins when a cartoonist mysteriously vanishes and his 100 comic books, which were never published, are scattered across San Francisco. When a 13-year-old boy stumbles upon one of the books and casually says the hero’s name out loud, the hero jumps out of the book and changes the boy’s life.

Hero Inside features an original collection of superheroes and character design. All of them have the unique ability to turn their weaknesses into strengths and their shortcomings into real superpowers.

The series initially arrived in Europe through Cartoon Network in January, premiering since then in Portugal, Germany, France and the United Kingdom, among others. HBO Max launched the first season in February, bringing it to Spain, Portugal, the Nordics, CEE, Poland and the Netherlands. Now, the series has debuted on Boing in Spain and will be available on Boing App.

DeAPlaneta Entertainment serves as the master licensing agent and media and digital distribution partner of Warner Bros. Discovery for the series in Europe and Latin America.

Season two of Hero Inside is set to be released in the last quarter of 2024.
