Frank Falcone, president and executive creative director at Guru Studio, talks to TV Kids about the strength of the True and the Rainbow Kingdom brand, what factors go into deciding an IP’s rollout strategy and more.

 

Filled with whimsical adventures, True and the Rainbow Kingdom has become a bona fide hit for Guru Studio. The Netflix original preschool series has not only been a success with multiple seasons commissioned on the streaming platform; True and the Rainbow Kingdom has quickly become a top-rated show on CBC in Canada and counts among its broadcast partners Globosat’s Gloob in Brazil, Discovery Frisbee in Italy, RTS in Switzerland, TVB in Hong Kong and numerous others. The company’s slate also includes the preschool show Pikwik Pack, the comedy-adventure series Big Blue and the two-time Emmy-nominated Justin Time.
