Guru Studio has signed a distribution agreement with Roku for its comedy adventure series Big Blue.

Big Blue follows sibling underwater adventurers Lettie and Lemo who lead a quirky submarine crew with a magical ocean fairy stowaway named Bacon Berry. The series is set to premiere on The Roku Channel Kids & Family in the U.S. in 2024.

The show was originally commissioned by CBC Kids in Canada and is now airing in multiple markets around the world including Nickelodeon/Nicktoons in the U.K., ABC Kids in Australia and Cartoon Network in Africa. New international broadcasters EBS in South Korea, RTS in Switzerland, RTVE Clan in Spain and MBC in the Middle East are set to launch the series later this year.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with The Roku Channel to bring Big Blue to homes across the U.S.,” said Frank Falcone, president and executive creative director at Guru Studio.

Jennifer Oppenheimer, Guru Studio’s manager of international sales and licensing, added, “This hilarious and heartwarming series is resonating with kids around the world, and we believe Roku is a fantastic home for the series launch in the U.S. given its significant reach and influence in the market.”
